RISE is a small team of professional Olympic trained MMA coaches dedicated to teaching true to life combat and self defense techniques in Hendersonville, North Carolina. With a triangular symbol preconceived as their logo, my job as a designer was to create type that not only reflected but connected their chosen symbol with ideas, emotion and meaning. T-shirts were designed, screen printed, and iron-on heat transfer vinyl was used on the sleeves to distinguish fighters and coaches.
